Welcome to the Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS). It has been contributing to the social
development through transformative education which is based on equity, excellence, innovation, and 
inclusiveness. We are proud to be a hub of intellectual growth and a catalyst for positive change. We have 
traditions of care, commitment and quality blended with culturally and technologically responsive 
education that has been leveraging personalized learning experiences, intellectual growth, critical 
thinking, and also nurturing leaders who will shape tomorrow’s world. We believe in the power of 
education to transform lives, challenge the status quo, overcome barriers and build bridges across cultures 
and generations.
Faculty of Social Sciences is committed to the pursuit of excellence in education and research, 
carving a niche as a leading seat of learning in national and international levels. Therefore we are deeply 
committed to quenching the thirst for knowledge of learners from every corner of the region, ensuring 
that no talent goes unrecognized. Our inclusive approach has enabled students, particularly female 
students, from marginalized and underprivileged areas to realize their potential and achieve their dreams.
The FSS is comprised of four departments; Business Administration, Economics, Education and 
Political Science. We take great pride in our diverse academic offerings. These departments offer four 
year degree programs which are HEC recognized. The department of education also offers M.Phil and 
Ph.D. in education. The department of Business Administration offers MBA program. The program 
offered in the faculty of Social Science are designed not only to impart knowledge but also to foster high 
character, critical thinking, creativity, a spirit of inquiry, resilience, leadership and research skills among 
our students. We believe in nurturing well-rounded individuals who are equipped to face the challenges of 
a rapidly evolving world and contribute meaningfully to the society at national and international levels. 
The FSS team members continue to push the boundaries of knowledge through groundbreaking 
research and innovation. We are proud to lead the dedicated and dynamic team of academics, 
professionals, research scholars, students and associates. The FSS is dedicated to addressing real-world 
challenges and striving to have a tangible impact on society. We are proud to be a hub of intellectual 
growth and a catalyst for positive change. We have achieved milestones; ISO 9001:2015 certification, 
award of X category by NACTE, significant increase in research publications and funded research 
projects, seminars, conferences, and initiatives on curriculum review.
