Government College University, Hyderabad, is pleased to announce MS/MPhil/MBA admissions in the following programs:

  • MBA Business Stream (1.5 years)
    • Eligibility Criteria (16 years education is compulsory for both streams)
    • 2.5 CGPA is required for 16 years education on the scale of 4 CGPA
  • Non-Business Stream (2.5 years)
    • Eligibility Criteria (16 years education is compulsory for both streams)
    • 2.5 CGPA is required for 16 years education on the scale of 4 CGPA

MS/MPhil/MBA Programs Pre-requisite

  1. Masters/ 04 years BS degree in the relevant discipline or equivalent qualification from any HEC recognized university/institution.
  2. Minimum CGPA of 2.5 on a scale of 4.00 in the semester system.
  3. 50% marks in the annual system.
  4. Admission test by GCUH OR A valid GAT-General test as per HEC criteria.
  5. Interview

Instructions

  • To apply for any 18 Years program/ discipline admission, students are advised to register on the university’s portal https://adm.gcuh.edu.pk
  • Sign in to download the challan for registration.
  • The admission processing fee is Rs. 4000/ -(non-refundable)
  • Submit the online application along with all the required documents through the portal.

Important Dates

  • Last date of application: 15-09-2025
  • GAT (General) Test by GCUH: To be announced later
  • Departmental test and interview: To be announced later
  • Commencement of classes: January 2026
  • Class timings: After 1:00 PM

Note: Those candidates who have already passed the GRE General will be exempted from the GCUH admission test.


MS/MPhil/MBA Admission Test

Admission to an MS/MPhil/MBA/Equivalent Degree Programs
  i. Basic Academic Qualification 1: Sixteen years of schooling or 4 year education (124 credit hours) after HSSC/F.A./F.Sc/Grade 12 or Equivalent shall be required for admission in the MPhil/MS/MBA/Equivalent program.
  ii. Admission Test: University is required to:
   a) Enter a 3rd party arrangement under the University rules with any testing bodies recognized by HEC for conducting GRE/GAT/HAT General or equivalent as an eligibility condition for admission to MS/MPhil/MBA/Equivalent programs, with the passing score of 50%. OR
    b) Conduct the test equivalent to GRE/GAT/HAT General developed at the University, with the passing score of 50%.
Note: Question paper will be objective, comprising 100 MCQS Admission Test Paper will be comprised of 70:30 ratio (70 questions will be from the relevant subject and 30 questions will be from general Mathematics and English)
